just curious. I remember hitting my grunt call one time not too long before the doe/fawn showed up and I killed em. could be coincidence, because it was right before dark when deer usually get up and move. But could she have wandered over my way because she heard a grunt? what's your guess... more likely coincidence, or responding to the call? I'm gonna say coincidence.

Had a doe actually during ML season come in to my grunt surprisingly. she was walking away and I grunted, She turned and trotted right to me!

If you have a doe entering estrous and she's looking for buck companionship yes they may very well respond to grunting. I've seen it happen on several occassions. The problem there is that most of the time a buck is already following the doe even before she's fully in heat. The question I have is if a doe isn't entering estrous and a buck is pestering her will she come to an estrous call hoping to rub that buck off on a doe that is. I've seen something like this happen a couple of times and it sure appeared that way.

Catman i had a doe answer and come to my grunt call. the only reason i believe that happened was because she was being chased by a small buck. when he came to my first grunt she got lost from him. He ran off i grunted more and she bleated back and came right in.
