Wild snow geese picture

Just saw this on facebook and thought I would share it here.
Simply amazing.
Supposedly in Missouri.
Dunno when.




A buddy of mine who is also a pilot took this awesome picture at 4000 feet. That is not ice on the lake - it is snow geese. Check out the incoming string of geese at the lower part of the picture.

I love to see them spiraling in landing on a sunny day. The sun reflects off different parts of the flock at different angles and almost makes them look like they're glittering. Awesome!

That's crazy. I went on my first snow goose hunts last year. The first morning we hit it absolutely perfect... just like you see in videos. We had thousands and thousands and thousands of them come right in on top of us. It was just plain awesome.

However, sitting out thousands of sillosocks and picking them back up is not quite as awesome...

I imagine it can get pretty...messy...with piles of geese like that hanging around.
