My wife killed her first deer this afternoon. It was awesome! She will only go a couple times a year and it has to be afternoon and not very cold lol. This was our second time this year. Shooting house over looks two fields, about 3:45 spot this deer running a doe full speed about 250 yards away. They disappeared and kinda lost hope on that one. About 30 minutes later a doe pops out of an island of woods in front of us . Few minutes later the same buck follows her out . Starts working his way towards us and finally gets to where we both are comfortable with her shooting- approximately 100-125 yards. She made a great shot with the 30-30 and he didn't leave the field. I was just nervous for her and didn't want her to miss and be disappointed.I was so happy you would have thought it was a 140" deer :super: First deer ever off this part of the farm also.
