Why not elk on the Cherokee National Forest?

The farmers are against Elk still.

Along both Tn./NC borders in Big bald, Roan, Hump and Yellow mts are numerous apple growers and the last time a reintroduction of Elk was discussed, they showed an overwhelming majority at the meetings to block it.

yea a lot of farmers and ranchers around here complain about the elk tearing down their fences. I love seeing the elk around here, but I also see there side too.
