I like to scatter it in the truck bed and make em load themselves.

Personally, I like putting it in a big old pile and then gather a lot of acorns and place them on the outer edge of the corn, along with a few randomly acorns placed on the pile itself, and then drizzle the entire thing with a grape Kool-Aid/molasses/peanut butter mixture....works well for me, even on public land!

Nyper, you're such the kidder�maybe we could swap hunts and get ideas on setups! Seriously though, the best way to do it is to use the trigger photocell in a trailcamera and rig it up to a locomotive battery thru a flux-capacitor that has been reversed polarized and you then can connect the battery to a series of stadium sized floodlights up in the trees�does a pretty good job of illuminating the area, and you don't even have to use the sight light on your bow....don't want any gunshots in the middle of the night ya know, especially on a wma! It does take a front-end loader to get that battery in the woods, but generally one battery will last all season.

You must first a hole anout one foot deep. Pile the corn in until it is full. Place your stand approximately 20-yards on the East side of the hole. Then wait patiently. You may not hear the deer coming as they are quite lite in the hooves.

If you want the big dominant bucks and not just does eating the corn, pee into the center of the corn pile. Then the bucks will help scatter the corn as they scrape through it, and you can harvest the biggest one.

I usually get a case of Green Giant whole kernel sweet corn at Costco. I have found they prefer it on warm days if you pile it in the sun and put a stick of butter on top. Gets 'em up during the mid-day heat.

If you have a Hispanic grocery store or supermercado near you, get one of those huge bags of homemade corn tortillas. It's only a few bucks for about 500 of them. Best used during firearm season. Hang them from low-hanging limbs at 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 yds from your stand. Works better than any estrus scent.

Thought of a new way. If it works I'll patent it. Took 4 ears of corn put treble hooks in them with 500yrds of 200lb test line on heavy salt water rigs. So at daylight I'm gonna go check them and reel them back into the open while somebody gets a shot at em. I may have just figured out something here. Whitetail trot lines.

Funny thing is that, in spite of baiting being illegal in TN, every year right about deer season every store in the state that sells hunting goods has a pallet load of "deer" corn for sale. Makes you wonder, huh??!
