Thought I would share my initial thoughts on this new GardePro that connects to your home WiFi for those with home farms. Initial set up was not that easy for me. It took me quite some time to get it going and I had to go to YouTube rather than the written instructions but I am not a tech savvy guy really. I ended up getting everything connected and set the camera up at 227 yards/681 feet from the house. This is open, level land with the exception of a 20 ft wide strip of trees in between the house and camera. The camera is currently connected and sending pictures plus live stream but is at a 2/5 on signal at that 681 feet. I would imagine this could be improved by putting the hub outside but I would then need to run an Ethernet cable outside and I haven't done that. Picture quality is good and livestream is great. This seems to be a good option for those that live on land but I do worry about getting farther from the house, more in the timber, etc. I am hesitant to do the work to run Ethernet outside but maybe that's just what I should do if I want to go further, don't know.

From the stuff I've seen on youtube, putting the hub link outside on the roof or from similar elevation makes a HUGE difference in reception distance. The best I've seen was 900y... but that was wide open direct line of sight perfectly flat ag land with zero obstructions between camera and hub link.
 
I womder about range. I could run about 8 of them here. But no way it could reach all the spots i need one. But maybe 2 or 3 are realistic. Pplan on ordering one soon

Makes me wish I lived on my hunting property.

I do have a cabin with wifi and a computer. I wonder if the pics could be sent to email so I could access them anywhere? If that sounds dumb it's because I'm not technology inclined lol

You just need the WiFi in proximity to the camera(s). Your cabin WiFi would need to be on all the time. You can view the pics from your phone on the app whether you are at home or at the beach 1000 miles away.

The cabin wifi is on 24/7/365 but I live 500mi away, although I am at the cabin relatively frequently.

I'll try one and see what happens.

That'll work. You can be in Germany and the pics will come to the app on your smartphone, as long as your WiFi is active/on at your cabin and everything is connected.
