The nurse is supposed to contact my wife today, it's no big hurry probably be in rehab center couple of weeks before I get home. My boys going to try to get me a ramp built before then.
How big of a ramp do you need? I have one on the house I just bought and I plan to do away with it. Let me know and I can get some measurements off this and if it will work I'll get it to you.The nurse is supposed to contact my wife today, it's no big hurry probably be in rehab center couple of weeks before I get home. When you have some time could you check with your son about the ramp specifics? Is it just a straight run out 16'? And the rise from porch to sidewalk?Bump, everything falling through
Insurance isn't going to cover the chair? Is there a certain size you need? I had no clue they even came in different sizes until my 89 yr old mom broke her hip last year..Bump, everything falling through
Its a straight run, rise is around 4 ft, then a small rise into house. When you have some time could you check with your son about the ramp specifics? Is it just a straight run out 16'? And the rise from porch to sidewalk?
One more time, thank you so much and may god bless you.Hey guys - wheelchair is taken care of. Let me know if assistance is needed with ramp.
the one Rem270 has is around 10' so, probably best to start from scratch on this. Could your boys build it if they had the lumber etc?Its a straight run, rise is around 4 ft, then a small rise into house.
Yeah, between my boys and their friends they would have no problem building it.the one Rem270 has is around 10' so, probably best to start from scratch on this. Could your boys build it if they had the lumber etc?

Obviously it doesn't have to be code, but generally you want an inch of rise per foot. You could go a little steeper but it could be a hassle for you or whoever helps you get up the rampYeah my oldest is 35 and works for a lumber yard in adamsville tn, he can build about anything.
