A guy I work with is going to sell his. There is a lot of rust on it but I think it will clean up and should look good after reblueing. The stock has a few scratches noting that can't be reworked. So this gun is not in mint condition. What do you think it's worth?

Thanks for the replies. I was figuring around the $150 mark. I really hate to see someone sell something that should be a keepsake. His Dad bought this for him brand new when he was 14yrs old. He doesn't hunt anymore and said he needed the money. I thought about buying, fixing it up, and when he came back a few years down the road let him have it for exactly what I had in it. I think he'll want it back one day.

slabhead that would be a great thing 2 do. Need to help a man when he's down. I know if I was in his situation, and had to sell a keepsake item like that. I would love the chance to buy it back down the road.

Geez, you didn't mention that little detail the first time around.................In this case, work out a deal with the guy that both of you are comfortable with.

Very nice jesture as well.

I purchased it. I will have it fixed up and put it in the safe until he comes back. I know he will, probably after his Dad has passed away. That's when I searched for some things I wish I'd never sold.
