had several trees blow down at the end of one of my plots back in may..i have a area almost 1/2 acre(18000sf)cleared off..making the whole area a lil over an acre..the existing plot has clover,rye grass,and greens..what would you plant in the new area this late..hate to see it stay bare all winter..but..this spring i plan on expanding it to 2+ acres..and planting a clover only mix..would you try to plant something now..or just wait till spring and redo it all...
 
Throw a sack of chicken scratch grains down and rake it under.
Let it grow up into a nice thicket over the next several years.
Great place for the deer to stage before going out into your field.
