Not pointing a finger, and not that I haven't killed coons that I didn't keep to eat. Why isn't this wanton waste?
Nothing ever goes to waste. Something will eat it Might just be flys but something will eat it. Also they're varmints. Wanton Waste has nothing to do with Varmints. Predators and Varmints get chunked right straight off the bluff around my place

The cat will usually not always try to cover the coo n with leaves/grass sticks (etc) whatever's handy. I will usually check every day or two till I get tired of fooling with it then move on.
I am still confused, so lay the coon near the trap, and then what? cover it? don't cover it? help, I would like to try this method

If you have eaten a coon cooked right there is almost nothing better in my opinion. Now the ones I have eaten have came from way back in the woods and aren't a Memphis trash panda but they tasted great!
