I bought a dpms 308 the other day and it has these 2 bars clamped on the pic. rail just below the scope.. any idea what they are? thanks!

Lol, I know it. I shot the old 45-70 Buffalo Classic the other day. 300 gr. Hornady and H4198. Flippin' hand cannon lol.

Whew I'd like to shoot it with something besides those light cowboy loads, is it accurate?

Fairly. Shot it enough to sight it in. Didn't shoot a group. Hard on the shoulder lol.
Wound up putting a thumbhole stock and a Nikon Omega scope on it. The 5" of eye relief was a must.
