I am thinking about getting a 45 smokeless barrel from Arrowhead. It will be a Encore type I believe made by MGM. I may or may not but thinking about it.What are some of your thoughts.

Smokeless is the only way to go. Luke is a standup guy to boot, he'll fix you up with everything you need.
Fairly certain I've seen you floating around the smokeless forums lately. The mgm barrels are supposed to be some great barrels. I've personally not used one but from the reviews they definitely improve on the standard hinge gun conversions since the barrel is an aftermarket. Luke knows his stuff as well. I don't think you can much more performance wise from the mgm over a cva conversion but the barrels should produce better groups.

Luke was offering both Brux MGM barrels and MGM 5R barrels for Encores. The Brux is a 6 land and cut rifled. Either will outperform the vast majority of off the shelf ML barrels although if you want to shoot sabots too the 5R might not be the best choice.

I have one coming from Arrowhead. I have 3 other MGM barrels and think the world of them.
