I was hoping my dozer operator would be alittle later but it is what it is and they are coming next week to clear some new plots. I've always done clearing in the early Fall in the past. I would like to get something down just to start as soon as I can on controlling erosion. Would wheat and crimson clover be the choice this early? I'm not so interested in creating forage right now as I am preserving soil. Thanks

You are spot on with wheat and crimson clover! If broadcasting drag or roll it after to improve seed to soil contact. Pelletized lime mixed in. will always help and improve seed distribution for more even seeding. Save your fertilizer dollars for after germination.
