Are these good for close shots as well as longer shots? Sometimes my shots are as close as 20 yards.
yes they would be good for near or far, some people dont like the bt but never had a problem on shots from 20 yrds to 250 shooting 95 bt over a warm load of imr 4350

I've used Hornady 100 gr BTSP's for many years and had great results with them. They are accurate in my rifle and the terminal performance is outstanding. They are also about half the price of Nosler Partitions.
Not knocking Noslers, they are an exceptional bullet, I'm just a tightwad.............

Well I was thinking either trying nosler ballistic tip, partition, or hornady SST in 95 grain don't think any of those would be a bad choice

Stay away from the ballistic tip, as they tend to blow apart on contact and you don't have much bullet to begin with. Try the Accubond if you want that style, but the Partition is a good option, as others have mentioned, or the Speer Deep Curl

Heard some good things about berger bullets

If you get the Bergers, make sure they're the hunting bullets. They come in an orange box instead of yellow.

I would second the partitions, or even look at Barnes.

I have used the nosler 95gr ballistic tip with great success, as well as the sierra blitz kings.

I've had very good luck with Sierra Prohunters and Gamekings. A buddy has used Corlokts with equal success. We've recovered very few bullets as most pass through.

I am with kimberman on this, the 100 hr nosler partition is a proven deer killer in my book.
