What are you doing about ammo for the future?

I don't reload, but I'm planning on trying to learn this year,
mainly center fire

I have enough duck and turkey for a couple of years, but will stock up

I've started stocking up on ammo for the bolt actions some I don't even shoot every year, but whats a gun without ammo

We may not see changes quickly, but 5-10yrs,etc
what will our kids and grand kids see?

when I had 1 center fire rifle I kept many rounds
know?

My problem is I like to tarket shoot. I don't know what is enough on hand is. I do reload but again the price of componates is going through the roof that is if you can find them.So reloading may not be the answer.

I cast for most of what I shoot and have just shy of a 1000lbs of lead on hand, just need to stock up on powder and primers.

Well i might have to start stocking up on 30-06 ammo now because i just found one that i'm going to get. i'm pretty well set on muzzle loader stuff.

I just got done buying 12 boxes of 300 Gr. Sst's with 30 bullets and sabots per box. so i got 365 bullets on the way to me. i just have buy more powder and primmers now but that's not a problem tho.

Does anyone on here reload 30-06 ammo? if so how much would you charge for 10 boxes?

Figure it out: 06 Brass is approximately 50 cents each, new. You will get a minimum of 5 rounds per each piece, cost is 10 cents per round. A Fed 210M primer is about 5 cents, you can scale down and pay a bit less. Gunpowder is 7000 grains per pound and retails local @ 30.00. A HOT 30/06 load is 59 grains, which means 118 rounds per pound at @ 25 cents each. I get my Noslers from Shooters Pro shop. I pay about 19 bucks for 50 partitions, 14 for ballistic tips, 16 for accubonds IIRC, or a maximum of 38 cents per bullet.

So: to create a hot 06 round with premium components that exactly fit your rifle will not cost you more than 78 cents each. You can beat these prices if you buddy up and share shipping costs and other components. Primers and powder have the haz mat fee on top of shipping so it is best to stock up on both when you order. By stock up, I'm talking 5,000 primers of each size you use, the economy size of your favorite powders (not the 1 pound can), and when you see something on sale, like 180 grain Partitions for 21.95 (right now), you acquire enough to stock your larder for a few seasons.
