Nope, just started with recurve and so far my shooting is pitiful. Probably have to wait a year to hunt with it .

Kinda, between work and work taking a little bit longer to get the dust knocked off, but ain't giving up yet. Got my son an xbow this year so leaving the meat getting to him and the wife and ole dad may have to wait to get in em close.

Well since we on the subject of getting ready, anyone used the single bevel broadheads? Can get the bevel that supposed to give you either a right or left twist to match the helical of your feathers. Know some that have shot single bevels but ain't heard nobody talk about them helping with spin.I like the design and thinking about trying a set.

I haven't used any. I know one guy that shot some a year or so back. he said they cut his BH target up more than the other heads if he shot them with the correct wing for the head. then he tried the wrong wing and they didn't cut as good.
I haven't heard anything about the bevel helping with the spin of the arrow. I think it is more designed to work with the spin to help cutting, not help with arrow flight.

Always ready. I'm gonna hunt with the selfbow I made last year. I usually make several a year and use most of em but every bow I made this year was for kids.

Got the cedar and river cane shafts warmed up and ready to go.

this may be one of my least prepared years. at least I have a stand up and my BHs are sharp. I've been shooting in the back yard mostly. been wanting to do more 3D and stump shooting but life has gotten in the way this year.

That's life for you. My bowhunting is just now picking up now that my daughter is a little older. I wouldn't trade time spent with family for anything but it is nice to spend more time with bow in hand.

How is your shooting?

my shooting good. it's my scouting, moving stands, etc that is lacking. just going to rely on past hunting seasons info.

I'm at that stage in life that my parents need physical help around their home along with my own home needs keeping up with too. I sneak in several shooting sessions a week in the back yard.

A little more than I was a couple weeks ago, but not as ready as I would like to be. Seems the clock ticks by faster ever year don't it? On the brite side, my 7 year will be the #1 shooter this year with his crossbow but that leaves ole dad as backup only.

we always like to be a little better, or a lot better in some cases. I had one guy to tell me the shooter that is the most critical of their abilities is more than likely ready, it's their confidence in themselves to take the shot is what needs the most work. I didn't realize it at the time but he was talking about me, I just thought he was just talking to me about someone else.

Been busy with work and haven't got to shoot as much as I would like. Need a few more weeks before I am ready, glad I got a crossbow {dirty word}

I don't consider crossbow a dirty word. I have too many friends that couldn't be in the woods without one. I do joke with some of them for having one but I rather see them in the woods than not.
