Thought about going this evening and hunt down in the bottom because the wind was right . Wasn't going to load four wheeler but decided I had better . Well sure glad I did this buck came creeping down this known trail going I presume to the fields. I could see he was a buck but couldn't tell how big he was because those trees still have leaves in the bottom. Well didn't take my binoculars so I raised my scope watching him and he came in under that one tree and looked up at me at about 35 yards facing me . I said it's shoot or he's out of here , I literally hate a straight on shot but I chose to shoot. Down he went , wiggled a little and that was it . Probably would have shot anyway but would have liked to watch him a little. Old as I am I don't look to hunt much longer so better take them while you can . Now maybe I can get my friend a doe . This may have been the buck DA seen when he hunted at my place last Saturday. I'll take him....

Hunting will keep you young! My 72 yo buddy I had up at the farm hunted hard for 5.5 days straight!

Go get a mess of squirrels or rabbits if you can find them!
I can still kill a doe or maybe some of those darn coyotes I seen opening muzzleloader morning. Seen five in one bunch and I had no clue they were that many around my property. The guy that joins my property and let's me hunt his will take a doe or two . Gave him most of my other buck and will probably take him alot of this one .
