Buddy of mine that loves the older guns just bought a Winchester model 1890.
It was produced in 1915, the same year as his Model 12 he just bought.
It is chambered in the .22 Winchester Rimfire, or the .22 WRF.
It is basically between the long rifle and the magnum.

Never knew they made such an animal.

Looking forward to seeing it this coming weekend.
Just thought that was pretty neat.
Been messing with guns all my life and it still amazes me how very little I actually know.

Yes, agreed. There are a LOT of rounds and guns just like that.

I once knew a guy who spoke in weird languages. He would say I'm taking my 7 by 595 (or whatever the exact numbers were) . Never said anything like 243 or 308 or 7 mag.

Always thought he was nuts.

Turns out, there are a lot of people from that same tribe. Lot on here, too.
