Took the plunge and just finished ordering my boat motor.

2014 Yamaha 25 hp long shaft tiller handle electric start.

Now maybe everything will go as they said it would.

Wow, a very fine choice! If I were buying a new one, that would be it exactly. If you don't mind, a rough idea of what something like that set you back.

It was 3,384 delievered to a local yamaha dealership. Shipping to my zip code was $140.
I could have saved like 68 bucks if I had paid with a money order or cashiers check, but using a debit card they added 3%.

Now I will have to pay the local dealer "around" $150 to do the pre-delivery inspection (and mount on the boat, which is a requirement) then buy a prop.

Here is where I ordered it from:

I tried to buy local but just couldn't justify spending almost $800 more for the same motor.

Great deal. Yes I like to support local but I can buy a lot of hunting and fishing gear with $800 so I would have done the same. That motor will serve you well. I have a mid 90's Johnson 25hp long shaft, electric start, tiller handle motor and if it ever dies I will be looking for something just like what you got. Congrats again.
