I caught this little guy in Dale Hollow a couple weeks ago. I've caught a ton of warmouth and a ton of rock bass in my life, but I have never seen one colored like this. My guess is a warmouth, but it could be some sort of hybrid, I don't know.

Try again. It's a warmouth, similar to a redeye, but different. It's about as close to a smallmouth as it is a striper

my exact words... I have been catching something in the creeks and ponds around here my whole life and was always told they were warmouth... they are black,most have blue stripes on the sides of their mouth.. we always threw them back..woodsman87 said:I must be wrong in what I call Warmouths, I have never seen one colored like that. Just googled up warmouth, definately you caught a warmouth. I don't know what the heck I catch that I refer to as a warmouth haha.
