99% of your control should be done at planting or before you plants sprout through the surface.

In the "ClearField Sunflowers" you can spray Beyond Herbicide if you want to. I would save my money
because I have never seen this herbicide do one ounce of good. There are many weeds that were resistant
to the main ingredient in Beyond before they became resistant to gly-4.

you can spray a "generic Select type herbicide" on growing sunflower plant and not hurt them.
the generic Select type herbicides on target your grasses. Since sunflowers are not grasses then you are good to go.
If you decide to use this herbicide please increase the rate of herbicide by at least 50%. A normal rate of this type
herbicide will just make you mad because it just doesn't work that well. Been there and done that.
