WANTING TO BUY A BOAT

Sold my 2016 pontoon about 3 weeks ago and all the guy that bought it needed was a bill of sale. Told him that I would go have it notarized, but he said his county clerk didn't need it to be. Some clerk's want the bill of sale notarized, some don't.

Call your County Clerk's office and ask them what they want. That's the only way to be 100% sure.

(but everyone is correct - no titles, so a Bill of Sale SHOULD be sufficient)

This is the best answer in my opinion. Our CCC's office has a bill of sale just for watercraft's that they like for you to use. It sure makes the process easier.

When I bought my boat all I had was a bill of sale.
It was written on the back of a very poorly torn off chunk of a bud light 12 pack :rotf:

When she mentioned the rather low price I paid I said, look at the back of the paper.
She said, Oh, I see. :super:
