How good will this guy be? He surprised Alot of people 69 tackles 20.5 for a loss and 10 sacks! His a true freshmen! if the two big name D-linemen Tennessee has coming in next year are as good as he is. UT is gonna have One nasty defensive front.

He made All SEC second team I think. People have been going on about Myles Garrett the freshman from A&M because he has like 14 sacks or something but his run stopping game isn't anywhere near Barnetts. He is going to be nasty next year.

Derek Barnett has 10 sacks and 20.5 TFL.

Myles Garrett has 11 sacks and 12.5 TFL.


All of Barnetts sacks were against SEC opponents.

8 of Garretts sacks were against Rice, Louisiana Monroe, and Lamar.

He's definitely got the potential to be a great one. Will probably see more double teams next year but hopefully he will get some help.
