I just thought I'd share with you all, in case anyone might be interested. I've been meaning for years to sit down with my longtime deer hunting partner, Jim Payne, and video a conversation. I wish I'd have done it years ago when he was in better health - but, I'm glad I did. I ended up having to do more talking than I hoped - he used to be able to tell hunting stories for hours. We hunted together all over Tennessee and a few other states. He quit hunting when he was 82, but he was the best hunter and knew more about the outdoors and hunting then anyone I have ever met. I sure miss hunting with him and sharing the highs and lows of deer hunting together. I just wanted to honor him and share his legacy with others.

That's awesome, thanks for sharing.
I'd watched this video last night, didn't know it was someone from here at the time.
I can definitely tell that you guys are 'one of us'.
👍
Do you all have any plans to hunt together this season? I read where you said he'd quit at 82yo but a few more trips out there would make some more great memories for you guys.

No. He's really not able to. He is pretty much on a walker now. I wish he could, I'd flat take him.

I seen it on YouTube. Didn't know that was your YouTube channel

Awesome stuff in a great video. Also noticed that the opening shot of the video is a good example of how thermals work. Smoke kept rising with no noticeable wind.
