Has anyone had any experience with a Remington VersaMax? I am thinking about one, suppose to be easer on the shoulder.

I have quite a bit of experience with it. Aside from shotguns with a separate recoil reducing mechanism (A400 with kick-off), it's the softest recoiling shotgun on the market.

Let me know if you have any questions.

IV got one it is a great gun. Shooting 3.5s out of it it feels like 2.75 dove loads from a pump gun. If you get that gun you will not be disappointed.

I have the versa max sportsman turkey and love it! I changed the choke to a Tru Lock Long beard XR #5 and took 3 nice Tom's this past season. I did add a Burris Fastfire III with the speedbead mount and really enjoy how quick I can get on target without losing any peripheal views. I've been shooting Longbeard 3 1/2's and they don't bother me at all.

I use my Versamax for duck hunting, dove hunting, and turkey hunting. It works for all of it without any flaws or issues.

I have one and I went from an inertia driven action to the VersaMax and the recoil isn't even close. The VersaMax is much easier on the shoulder. I put a competition carrier in mine after I caught my thumb in the cutout made in the stock carrier. It cut a chunk out of my thumb but the competition carrier is flat on the end so there is no cutout to catch you.
