Value - Model 70 .243

It would help if we knew what model it was. It can range from 250$ to 1500$ depending on how old it is and what model. A pre 64 would go for considerably more than a Ranger model.
 
Post the s# and we can give you the year... a photo & serial number and we can tell you model and pretty much what it is worth

During its development, this one was called the 6mm Winchester, but when introduced in 1955, its name had been changed to .243 Winchester. It could be a pre 1964 since the 243 Winchester was introduced in 1955 it could be in this rifle.
 
The guy ran the serial # but won't give it out over the phone. Said it's a 1967 model and the scope doesn't even have a name on it according to them so it must be cheap. Doesn't sound like a controlled round feed if I'm thinking straight.
 
If its a 67 model its a push feed gun. Not a bad gun, but no where near a pre 64. I would guess the value around 250-400 depending on shape. A no name scope doesnt add anyhting to the price.

They had it for $479 but I thought that was too much so I passed. Plus I don't need another .243.

I picked up a mid 1980's production Model 70 .243 with a 6x compact Leupold scope on it in great condition for $365 plus tax in a pawn shop about 3 years ago. Wasn't about to leave the shop without that one....I thought it was a pretty nice deal

Pawn shops are like a box of chocolates.... :)
