What is a Winchester model 70 worth in .243? It had a scope on it but I didn't pay much attention to what it was. The gun appeared to be in decent shape, I'd say 85% or so. Wood was okay, not perfect, but not bad either.
During its development, this one was called the 6mm Winchester, but when introduced in 1955, its name had been changed to .243 Winchester. It could be a pre 1964 since the 243 Winchester was introduced in 1955 it could be in this rifle.Gravey said:I didn't get it out and look at it but it appeared to be a pre 64. Can you age it based on the serial #?
They had it for $479 but I thought that was too much so I passed. Plus I don't need another .243.Kimberman said:If its a 67 model its a push feed gun. Not a bad gun, but no where near a pre 64. I would guess the value around 250-400 depending on shape. A no name scope doesnt add anyhting to the price.
