Last 2 episodes he was shooting a Matthews creed at 45 lbs , still getting the job done

As far you see on television, he is getting the job done. I know for a fact from a inside source that he lost 2 very big high fence deer by shooting them in the shoulder after he had flapped his gums about how no one needs anymore than 45 lbs. that may be true but he didn't have the skills to back up his big mouth. But you never see that televised...................

You don't even need 45lbs to get the job done.. That doesn't a mean 70lbs isnt much much more efficient...
The faster it shoots the harder it hits.. But the big difference is the amount of drop an arrow taks at 30 yrds when shooting 45lbs vs 60-70lbs...

...and how many years your shoulders can handle 60-70lbs vs 45 lbs.

Like I said nothin wrong with 45lbs.. It'll get the job done.. The good thing is modern bows shoot just as fast with 45lbs as 60lb bows did 10yrs ago...

I've been shooting between 72 and 84 since 1981, so I don't know how long. It's like a tootsie pop I haven't gotten to the end yet. :D

I think the shoulder thing might be a tad over hyped. Drawing back a bow isn't that rough if you are strong enough to pull it back easily. The only problem is when people pull something to heavy.
