The commission also determined no dogs can be used during the night hunting, and only shotguns may be used. Hunters may use night vision and thermal imaging, as well as lights as long as they are not attached to a vehicle or shone from a public road. The use of calls imitating coyotes or wounded prey is also allowed.
I'm not sure, but I bet a load.of tss will kill a coyote at 70 or 80 yards. If it will that's pretty good for hunting at night in the woods.Shotguns makes it a waste of time for coyotes. It was almost a good thing.
Shotguns only.......so when I am night hunting hogs on my private land with a suppressed, thermal equipped 300blk and a coyote comes along I can't shoot it unless I have a shotgun with me....makes no sense, rifle for pigs at night, good; rifle for coyote at night same spot, bad.
When did deer become a predator? Lol
Hunting from a public road is illegal in statute. I'd guess that was a point of emphasis that they wanted in there."Hunters may use night vision and thermal imaging, as well as lights as long as they are not attached to a vehicle or shone from a public road."
So if i understand this right you can't use lights from the road but you can still road hunt with thermals?
No single projectile. In the language of the law does it specify what number shot can be used. If not, then can a slug be used?
No single projectile.
You have never been able to legally road hunt with thermals."Hunters may use night vision and thermal imaging, as well as lights as long as they are not attached to a vehicle or shone from a public road."

Maybe not legally but they are sure doing it. Had a white ford truck using them on us Friday night. The local stalker trash doesn't care what you say is legal if they know you can't enforce it. That means i have to be the one to deal with this scum once again. You have never been able to legally road hunt with thermals.
But, you know that.
I'm just curious. How do you know all these people are using thermals? Maybe I missed somethingMaybe not legally but they are sure doing it. Had a white ford truck using them on us Friday night. So we are stuck using a $14 per round shotgun shell instead of a $.50 223 round. The devil will be ice skating before I ever do that.
Have you bothered to do any of the things I suggested to you a couple of weeks ago?Maybe not legally but they are sure doing it. Had a white ford truck using them on us Friday night. What are they using thermals for in April? Hogs?Maybe not legally but they are sure doing it. Had a white ford truck using them on us Friday night. We don't know yet for sure. The press release only mentions no single projectile. Will be watching for the updated 2024-2025 regulations to be posted.I may have missed it but is buckshot legal to shoot
No.I may have missed it but is buckshot legal to shoot
Yeah we just planted corn and the Egyptian Wheat fell over in January so we get shatheads again. We haven't had a hog in two years but they keep stalking us anyway. What are they using thermals for in April? Hogs?
