I have decided to put out a strip of turnips in my clover field. When is the best time to plant them?
yep, good pointsBSK said:Just remember, since the fall months are our driest months, DON'T plant by specific dates. Plant by soil moisture. If soil moisture is not adequate at planting, you're throwing your seed money down a rat hole.
We planted 2 plots last year and the deer didn't seem to have much to do with them at all.camoman270 said:i would do sept but you can from august on. A friend of mine planted about a 3 acre patch last fall and the deer didnt touch them until after season and then in Jan they hit them like a hog hits a slop trough! and tore them up!!!!
