Trophy Rock ?

This is the first year that I have placed Trophy Rock out on my property, nothing better out there, IMO. Question I have is this: On average, how long does your TR last before you need to put a new one out? I put the first one out first of April, then when I came back mid July it was already gone, so I put another out.

Depends on how much usage by deer it gets. I've put a Trophy Rock out exposed to the rain but protected by a cage, and it lasted 6 months. However, as a test of just how much salt deer can eat, SALTMAN gave me a 110 lb rock to put in one of my oldest and heavily used licks. The deer licked it complete away in 6 weeks!

50 lbs of loose trace mineral salt @ 6$ will last you longer than 3 normal size Trophy rocks will. Ive used them side by side as comparison and had basically identical results from both.

Put out a trophy rock in an existing salt lick (hole)about a month ago. Came a down pour that night and when I went back a week later my 20 LB rock had almost completely disolved in the water. just the top part sticking out of the water was left so I put the remainder on a nearby stump! Still some of that left right now, but not much! Probably stick to a bag of mineral salt for now on because of the cost with about the same results!

Guess things are different in different places,In Perry co,nothing competes with TR.Ive tried all the cheaper stuff,loose salt,salt blocks,mineral blocks,Deer Cane.Nothing gets em there like TRs.
