Wanted to add a little more food around the edge of my corn field. There was a grass edge about 15 feet wide on both sides. Sprayed the grass with gly a few weeks ago. Had a good kill on the grass but it was thicker than I thought. Originally was gonna try a throw and mow but was afraid it was just too thick. Lower side gets a lot of shade after the morning so I disked it up. Upper part gets all the evening sun so I didn't want to disk. Went ahead and spread my seed into the thatch. Set my disk to where front would just barely cut and back would roll the thatch hopefully getting seed to the dirt. It turned out great. Just planted this last Friday and it's doing just as good as another plot I disked 2 weeks ago.
