trapping question

I am at work and cannot look it up right now, but a thread in the turkey forum reminded me of something that crossed my mind.

can you put out those live traps, in the woods, in hopes of catching, armadillos, possums, raccoon's, etc. with the goal being to protect or help protect nesting turkeys?

I guess my concern is what happens when you catch a fox or something that may have a season, and it dies before you get back to check your trap?

I don't think so. Landowners can trap animals causing them damage, but IMO it would be a stretch to do the management trapping out of season for that purpose.
