Headed down to Destin (actually from there) to visit my mom and brother a few days and chase some fish.

Lucked up and I nice king and some amberjack. Bite was iffy but was fun to go back home and bring my 4 year old with me.

Looks like a great time. I've never been deep sea fishing until last year. My cousin has a place on the beach in Destin and keeps a boat dry docked. We were in Orange Beach and drove over since he was down. Didn't catch a thing but was fun. We were 20 miles out and its odd looking in all directions and all you see is water.

Hahah yeah we normally go about 30miles out but we stayed close this trip for kings and cobia only going about 5 miles out and 12 miles east

Very cool. Nice king!

My dad was stationed at Eglin AFB in the late 70's. We fished out of Destin a lot. Back then it was just a small fishing village. How times have changed....

No doubt. I was born there and graduated HS there and back then even in the early 90s it was still somewhat small. I miss those days, Destin today is nothing like it was growing up

Awesome! I'll be down there in a little over a month, and we already have a charter booked. It's been a few years since I've been deep sea fishing, I'm pumped!

Agent Orange....wow, there's a blast from the past. We used to listen to those guys during our skateboarding phase in the mid 80's.

Worst cobia season they have had down there I can remember. Very few free swimming g fish with all the fads people are putting out and fishing over.

I've fished quite a bit down there, but mostly for grouper and red snapper. My parents have a rental house in Maravilla off Old 98 (I believe that's the road). Destin has exploded over the recent years!

Well word is the Feds closed snapper in federal waters this year so that is gonna have a huge impact on people fishing for them
