Well, my shooting doesn't change much, I shot a decent group today and hadn't shot in months. I can shoot a dozen a day and not get much better it seems, but it helps to go through the cycles and reinforce good habits

Anyway just bought a new target and cleared out my new shooting range, so I can sling a few arrows in the mornings after feeding the fish. I moved into this place in June and it has room to get done what needs done.

Set up for 20 and 30 yards with option to step back to 40.

The new to me PSE that I bought in March needs to be turned up and re-sighted, but it's a good shooting bow. Sorry no pics of it right now.

Nothing better than a place to shoot the bow. We are making an offer on a house and honestly we turned away from some other houses due to inadequate place to shoot. The house we hope to get has a perfect place to shoot. Good luck Cat!

FYI the more you practice you can improve ; )

Jonathan, there is a difference in shooting your bow (practicing) and trying to get better (practicing). Maybe you could find a partner that lives near you to watch your form somebody that is a good shoot preferably someone better than you to help. My best friend was the indoor national champion growing up he also made the 1988 Olympic team (which he quit and came home from the training center in Colorado) he was a fantastic mentor. I was a fantastic shot because of him and his help. Not so much any more. Heck I have a hard time tuning my bow and need help with that
I almost flew him out last year to help me get my form back and help tune my bow. Lol.
UT grad, good luck with your house hunt

I been actually thinking about seeing if you or someone else close had some time in the very near future to spend a little time with me tuning my bow.

Yea Andy I might want to go shoot at that range up there some time if you are free. I don't know when though. You're always welcome to come down here too, got plenty of room to shoot.

WIth today's forgiving bows....practice isn't what it used to be.....but truthfully, what most people need is to know how there bow and they will shoot when the moment of truth comes. No doubt some guys are natural born killers...ice in there veins....but there is something to be said for muscle memory, competing which raises the nerves on edge, putting you in a similar mindsdet as shooting a deer.

Maybe I wouldn't shoot as much if I didn't like to compete....and I haven't competed in several years....but now that I am retired and back in Clarksville....I hope to get back to traveling and competing.

To each his own, I can shoot 60yds from one side of the road to my back yard and 70 from the neighbors yard over the road into the back yard....and I can do 80yds if I have a spotter for the road. We live at the edge of a cul de sac, traffic isn't frequent, but I don't want any incidents to cause alarm for the neighbors.

Season is fast approaching!!!!
