Needing a privacy hedge asap and wanting to get some of this planted this fall, The state just widened and moved Hwy. 64 and exposed a thick two acre cloverfield!
Im already planning on maybe poplars, pines, or leyland cyprus in the spring, But Im wanting some kind of a shrub for this spring. Also in consideration is autumn olive, but I've heard so much about the invasiveness Im sort of scared.

Hard county,

Turner seed in Nashville.
Chuck Swawn has autumn olive on most of their fields to shield them from the many roads. It does work. You can control autumn olive in rows. The problem is birds will scatter the seed in their dropings everywhere. Turkey will spend days digging for seed under autumn olives.
