the advantage of fall cover crops

the cereals and grasses helps add mulch above the soil and helps with clay tilthe below the soil. the legumes decompose into some fine compost.

no till this year. soil is spongy with tons of worms in it. made my seeds furrows with a hoe.

I also use annual clovers, the nitrogen speeds up decomp and leaves a little for my popcorn.
