Thanks, Terry, that is interesting. Cool to see one of them run well up into Mobile Bay and spend significant time.
That is a lot of miles for one week. I wonder how much fuel (bait fish, etc) those dudes have to eat to swim that far.

Most would be surprised how far they come up the East Coast as well, including biologists 
The movement of tarpon is an incredible thing.
I once followed a school swimming due west out of a pass in Florida into the gulf. They were riding an outgoing tide on a full moon. I stayed with them from when I first saw them at around 2pm until dark— hooking a fish every time I put a bait in the school. When it was finally time to head back to the ramp and I turned on my gps, I was over 30 miles from shore and more than 40 miles from the pass where I first saw them.
