I have met a few guys who shoot tactical style rifles and its rubbing off on me a touch. I am thinking a Manners T2 and maybe a Stiller single shot. I took a Stiller TAC30 single shot out of the counter and it pulled and ejected a loaded 270 Win round. That tells me I can run it all from a 22BR to a 280 Ackley. Since I quit deer hunting and still love to shoot, I figure I need it......

I have a bunch of food plot stuff to sell to help pay for my habit!

A single shot doesn't seem very tactical to me?
You must be right cause I had to special order the stock for single shot.

Everyone wants the long mag box, and that ain`t me.

Someone coined the phrase "One Shot, One Kill"

If i try my hand at F-class I figure it will do just fine. Going to get a 6.5 Creedmore reamer soon for a guy wanting one, seems anyone who shoots one loves it.

note to self,,"Tim has 6.5 Creed reamer"

I have already shot a 500 count box of 175 SMK`s through the Police and really plan to start shooting more in the next few months,,and since I settled for a short action the 7mm route is probably not gonna happen, more than likely be getting a Bartlien 8 twist 6.5 and was leaning towards the 6.5x47 but there is very little if any difference,

and yeah I can see you being a very good F-Class competitor,,3 inch X rings would be eat alive at 600,,

what stock did you order ?? I am just now coming around to how much more the stock effects how precise a rifle can be compared to group shooting off a rest,,actually hitting a 1 moa target 5 times is 10 times harder than shooting a 5 shot 1 moa group,,

Me being a heavy guy with round face I did not opt for the adjustable Manners. I never need a high cheek rest so I got the plain T2 Manners in the new Midnite camo. I went with 13 1/4" LOP and the barrel channel for the #17 or HV profile. Single shot inlet and just a single stud for Bi-Pod. The 6 BAT actions came in and am amazed at myself to opt for the Stiller, but makes the most sense with the single shot. The 6BR cases can be dubious to make feed and the F-Class game is slow with pulled targets.

Come on over

I gotta figure out how to get better optics without selling anything,,may take a while,,stil debating on going mil/mil or moa/moa bit it will be FFP for sure,,,maybe a Mark4 16X but that is a lot of power in some situations where you may need to see a larger area around a moving target,,be bad to squeeze one off about the time a non threat entered the sight picture,,

The more research I did, it led me to the 6.5x47 Lapua I have decided to go this way and not the 6.5 Creedmore. I found a very worthy reamer, throater, and HV #17 31" Krieger 8.5 twist. I called and had 3 pounds of lead added to my stock order. Cool that they offer this. I have RL15 and H4350 so I feel good. Looking at 123/139 Scenars, and possible 130/140 Berger VLD`s

ok,,I have a Rem 700 PSS besides the one I have in the AICS 1.5,,I am starting to think it may not be much more money to just sell that rifle and have the Bartlein barrel fitted to the Tac 30 action and add my Jewell trigger and put it in the AICS 1.5..

subtract what I could sale the whole rifle I was gonna rob the action from, and subtract what it would cost to blueprint and I bet I could just buy the Tac 30 action for not a lot more money

Looks like it is raining 6.5 x 47's!!!!

190 gr 300 Win Mag ballistics with 37 grs of powder and a 140 gr bullet in a short action is hard to argue,,

all I need to do now is sell a Rem 700PSS 308 with the Bushnell Elite 3200 10X scope for about 825$$ and I will be ready to rock,,

rifle has been skim bedded in the HSPrecision stock and has the Timney 510 trigger and shoots the 175 SMK with 4064/Varget/RL15 very well,,
