Had a 40 yd easy shot on a buck . Smoke clears he's run off . Me an neighbors did a good search that evening and nex day . I went back and looked for buzzards as well as another grid search . No nothing . As I was preparing to clean the barrel , it was loose in the stock , bench resting it the barrel moved left/right . Looking through the scope it was enough I could have missed him a foot and a half either side ! Now , the night before the hunt I left it hanging on the porch to acclimate and prevent the scope fogging . Would this lessen the stock ? Seems that would have caused moisture swelling ? Tightened it up but still a little loose . What do I need to have done ? First prob I have ever had , normally a tack driver . Thanks for any help/ advice .
