It's not like it but it's they do! Such a joke to suck it up and have a monumental parachute clause.

I read an article and it may be in the one posted above that LSU has said he'd have access to a 25 million NIL fund but also saw something that said Ole Miss has 40 mil so I'm not sure. That same article said his ex-wife who he's back with and their son were seen visiting both Gainesville and LSU so will be interesting to see what he does. He's definitely listening to them because instead of saying he's focused on the egg bowl would say I'm not going anywhere to stop the rumors.

When there is that much generational wealth on the table, it would be financially irresponsible for anyone to not listen to the offers…

Now, with that said, quality of life is important and his personal demons need to be considered. If Ole Miss can up the ante financially and support the NIL funding to the point needed to draw the athletes to Oxford, it would not surprise me to see him stay and build his legacy where he's at. I would like that myself.

Let Urban Meyer be that cautionary tale of Fla and LSU is a dangerous fan base for a smart ass like Kiffin…they would turn a dime with one misspoken word. Stay where he is at and be a MS legend with even mediocre performing teams as long as you can beat State…still making 13.5 million a year or so and be happy!!!

She is your ex wife for a reason!

Ridiculous money... I dont care who they are.
Am I wrong that the taxpayers fund portions of these programs / coaches?
Just seems like stupid $$$. They they eventually get fired and keep the $$$ with guarantees.
All a scam and ticks me off.

That's just under 13 million per year if the 90 million is all salary. Ole Miss is reportedly offering 13 - they just can't offer a contract as long as LSU due to state law.

I think Kiffin is waiting to make sure Ole Miss beats State and secures a playoff spot before making his decision. I predict there will be an announcement one way or another next weekend.

LSU is arguably a better job, but it's also a complete dumpster fire at the moment. Kiffin likes the spotlight and he's going to keep people wondering a little longer.

I hope he stays at Ole Miss. It would be interesting to see what a top tier coach can accomplish at a school that

I hope he stays at Ole Miss. Would be cool to see what a top-tier coach can do long term with a program that isn't regarded as a top 15-20 program.

When Alabama paid King Nick $4,000,000 everyone thought Alabama had lost their mind…….. however , look at that RETURN ON INVESTMENT to the University after that .

It's a business with lawyers involved and a few players too.

I think kiffin is staying at Ole Miss. It just seems like the logical choice, if they can pay him that is. During the game they're reporting that he'll make a decision tonight or tomorrow. I think he was waiting to see how well this game turned out before making the decision.

He would be giving up a chance to coach a national championship contender team right now, for the chance to possibly build another team to make it back to where he's at now. Surely he's not going to give up the bird in the hand?

Even more so he has the opportunity to build legacy at Ole Miss. Be the first. Those hicks would write songs about him for generations and 18 yr old coeds would line up on his porch.
