Sunlight question

We have an area on our lease we call fern gully. It is just covered with ferns and has a mudhole and wet area along the bottom of it. What if anything will grow in an area like that? The moisture is there but not much sunlight.

Mushrooms maybe. I know deer like them.

There are mushrooms growing around that area and the pigs are rooting them up. We thought about winter wheat,since the canopy is fairly heavy in that area.

You wont grow much of anything without at least 4-6 hours of good sun a day.
