sucess and failure in the same trip

I am on my way back home for a black bear hunt in Washington state. the second day of my hunt I got a shot at a bear but it wasnt meant to be. apparently my shot was a flesh wound or just caught under the skin. there was no blood and the tracking dog did not locate the bear. 6 days in the blind and only one daytime sighting and I blew the chip shot.
BUT I did shoot a grouse.

I am now on the road back home, hopefully I can get back and maybe hunt Sunday.
