Just getting settled into my new house and 46 acres. It's 95% woods. It was select timbered about 3-4 years ago. I was able to get most of the old logging roads cleaned out with my tractor. My plan for fall food plots is to sow some subterranean clover and winter wheat along a few flat areas in the lower bottom land near the creek. Has anyone planted subterranean clover before? And what else would work in a wooded area with only a few hours of direct sunlight?

I'm no expert.. but from what I've READ, maybe a good idea to go in and selectively release some nut/fruit bearing trees in those wooded areas. That will allow more light to the ground for browse and will strengthen the mast production.
