Let's say you have some new arrows. Do you shoot all of them? Or just maybe three to see how they work? I normally carry arrows in my quiver that have never been fired. Is that dumb?

I just hate to ruin new arrows. I have plenty of practice arrows, but try to keep the wear and tear to a minimum on my hunting arrows.

Thanks folks. I'll shoot them all at least once to make sure they fly straight and true. :)

I do shoot all my crossbow arrows and take the best three. I've been known to "launch" my compound bow arrows though. :D

I shoot all of mine and the top 5 that shoot or I like the best go in my quiver with a number wrote on the vein, with #1 being the one I like the best.

I spent 7 hours shooting arrows and broadhead combinations with two different bows.

Out of 30 or so IDENTICAL arrows...21 actually flew perfectly while the others were all over the target.

This was with RAGE, Stingers, or field points.

Always shoot your arrows and practice head cominations.

Leave NOTHING to chance when bowhunting.

My quiver holds four arrows. I shoot every arrow that goes into quiver so I know there will not be any surprises.

My practice arrows are my hunting arrows, i just change the field points to broadheads, then shoot them to make sure everything is true. Why have two sets of arrows, absolutely pointless

Not really. My hunting arrows spin test the best and fly the best and that is why they are dedicated to taking the life of another animal--I owe the game I hunt at least that much. Keep in mind, that I'm confident that my "practice" arrows will do the job as well, but it's just one of the steps that I and many others take in our view of preparation.
