In Georgia, i have a gun passed down to my military son which i gave him in october and someone broke into his home in Dec. and stole the guns One was a Remington model 700 black syn stock and stainless steel with a 3x9x50 Leupold Vari X II scope on it.
It has been reported to the Augusta police and here two months later not one thing done about it nor any attempt to really help. The serial number is S6229985 and is calibered in 270. I hunted with this gun for 18 seasons and killed many deer with it. It was purchased in Gainesville Georgia in 1992 at Satterfields Sporting Goods. Anyone in pawn shops and other places i would appreciate any help. It is listed as stolen but i dont have much faith in it being located without some devine help. the serial number for the scope is 124058B and was repaired at the Leupold factory in november of 2004....i have the repair invoice.
