man i decided to purchase a new shotgun this year (wanted an auto) and decided to go with the Stoeger 2000. Basspro had one with a 24" barrel and the pistol grip stock in camo for $499. I went down there today and got it but when i was checking out the clerk said, oh yeah this gun also comes with the came field stock (non pistol grip) and a 28" camo barrel as extras for no cost to you!!!

hahahah i felt like i was stealing the thing when i left there

Awesome deal! You basically got a Benelli! BTW the Beretta chokes are the same thread pattern and cost less ;)

Are those guns recoil operated or gas operated?

they are recoil operated. They have the exact same moving parts as the benelli.

I know it is not a super glamors shotgun but for the money and what i wanted it for i could not pass it up

I have wanted an auto for some time and it was between the Stoeger 2000 or the Moss 935. This one came with ALOT more stuff and was $50 cheaper...

I handled one before turkey season and it felt great.
Reason I asked about the operation is I'm looking for something a little "softer" shooting than my 870. Seems the older I get, the worse they kick.
Great gun and congratulations......who care about glam?
