Watched 7 bucks and 8 does yesterday evening, with one tending a doe.

Got the south wind to hunt another another this evening,
had 2 different bucks chasing does come in, the last one left in the truck. Believe I have a few pics of him, 2nd time this stand hunted all year, 2 hunts 2 bucks. Like to have not got him loaded, was thinking I was going to get tractor and loader for him.

Did the doe being tended appear to be a fawn or yearling?

Your observation of several bucks and does feeding together is what we commonly see "post-rut", when the bucks are not roaming around looking for does, but will sure go after them when they stumble across an estrous one. As healthy as the deer herd is this year, I would expect quite a few fawns to be coming into their first estrous during December & January ---- and bucks will "stumble" across them in their shared feeding areas.

Pretty amazing to think a 6 to 8-month old fawn can be giving birth to more fawns when she's barely a year old herself.

The Doe that was being tended by the buck Tuesday evening was a fawn, The first doe that was chased in front of me yesterday could have been, but may have been a late fawn from year before I believe. The doe that the buck I killed was a this years fawn, I had been waiting on these days, one of the best bucks I have on the place was on tc 11-18-13 chasing does. Weather, wind, sunshine all came together with a 300 Mag...
