Squirrel Hunting: Shotgun or Rifle?

So which do y'all prefer to take squirrel hunting, shotgun or rifle?

12ga on all my small game hunting.

only rifles for me. shoulder shots only

Depends on time of year & my mood, rather use a .22 but if the leaves are still on the shotgun gets to go.

Shotgun until until the leaves come off and the .22 there after.If I am hunting the young dogs which is almost always we pack a rifle and the shotgun.

Used a 12ga till I got a .22. Now I prefer the rifle. In the backyard I use a .177 air rifle with BBs. Just shot one today in fact.

22's are fine with the leaves on. you just have to be precise and patient. most of my limits happen the last week of august and the first 2 weeks of september
