I'm needing as many of your dry rub recipes as I can get. Trying to outdo, ( friendly competition ) a couple of customers from the Barbershop. Y'all help me out here if you have a goodun to try.

It's perfect...........you need to try it
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
 cup paprika
 cup salt
 cup garlic powder
2 tablespoon black pepper
2 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoon ground ginger powder- very important
Rub you meet with olive oil, then sprinkle the rub on
Put ribs on smoker at 225 degrees for 3 1/2 hours.

I like this method, but I'd prefer less sugar. I would cut out the white sugar, entirely.

I would also add a 50/50 mix of yellow & dijon mustard as a slather to help the rub stick.

I also like to add some cayenne.

I did a beef brisket last week, and my goal was to mimic the dry rub our BBQ Fest team used to use on the ribs. I was just throwing crap in the bowl, so I can't offer you a recipe. Just go by looks and taste....I'll estimate what I though it consisted of.

1/2 c Garlic Powder
1/2 c Onion Powder
1/4 c Seasoned Salt
1/4 c Smoked Paprika
1/4 c Brown Sugar
1/4 c Black pepper

Then start throwing in a bunch of stuff to taste: cayenne, thyme, oregano, more onion & garlic, kosher salt, blah blah blah.

Have fun with it, get creative, and take notes of what you throw in there.
